It has been a busy month for us at The Found Generation. Our Director, Andrew, attended and spoke at the Oxford Education Conference at Pembroke College, Oxford, on Saturday 10 May. Andrew led a workshop session in the afternoon where he he spoke to about 15-20 Oxford University students about The Found Generation and the work we are doing as well as consulting students in attendance about their thoughts on how to tackle the issue.
Andrew also attended the second two-day Youth Employment Convention in the KIA Oval Cricket Ground in London on 13 and 14 May. Andrew was part of a panel on the afternoon of the second day of the Convention, considering and discussing what youth employment and skills challenges the next Government will face after the 2015 General Election.
We are also delighted to announce that we have been approved for stage 2 of the O2 Think Big programme – “Think Bigger”. This means we obtain extra funding as well as extra mentoring and support, and is a clear endorsement of the work we are doing.
