Last week, as Director of The Found Generation, I was in the audience of a debate held at Channel 4 television studios on the subject of the “Lost Generation” of unemployed young people and how to fix it. Unfortunately I felt there was not enough discussion of the practical ways in which everyone in the room could tackle youth unemployment.
This week has also seen a keen focus on youth unemployment in London from London newspaper The Evening Standard. Later that week (Friday 21st September) a letter which I wrote to the Evening Standard was published in their letters column. The letter can be read below:
